As parents, we will do anything to help our children through the ups and downs of childhood so they come through with their self-esteem intact and bursting with confidence. Our Tiny Dancer loves to sing, dance and act which was a natural lead into performing arts.
Performing arts boost children’s self-image and their confidence.
Our right-brain Tiny Dancer has a creative and artistic mind. Participating in the arts has provided our daughter with inspiration and that “WOW” factor that boosts her confidence, strengthening her resolve and her ability to roll with the punches. She has developed life skills that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. She has learned how to use critical thinking skills in problem-solving and now has a dedication to focus while working on her academics which has resulted in her achieving higher grades. This has helped her slow down instead of her rushing through her work just to get it done because it’s a times a challenge for her.
Getting on stage to perform in front of hundreds of people or just a small group family and friends takes nerve and confidence, especially when a child feels somewhat defeated or challenged with their academics. But imagine being able to shine in front of those people as you successfully complete the routine you have put your heart and soul into, finishing up with thundering applause. The performing arts have been a great thing for our Tiny Dancer’s confidence, focus and grades.
She has been in a total of four shows now which has been a wonderful experience that keeps building all of these amazing qualities. She feels like she can accomplish anything and we’re sure she can!
